World Thoroughbreds

is it possible to trace a thoroughbreds history just by their brand?

i had a thoroughbred a couple of years ago, and i would love to know his breeding or if he raced.
i only have his brand to go off, as i obviously cant look for a tattoo as i no longer own him ..
i know its a long shot, and i dont want to have to pay

Without the tatoo, you could go to www.bloodhorse.com and enter his registered name under search or go to NTRA.com and do that.
